Vegetarian Bento

Here comes the second bento in year 2011. My previous Kick Start Bento really does its job to kill the lazy worms in me so that I can start making bentos again. But this bento is a week after the previous bento. Not good enough!
I made a vegetarian bento because I didn’t go to the market and no meats in the fridge already

I tried to make triangle onigiri but they didn’t turn out nicely, don’t really know how to wrap it properly
Will have to do some research and find out how. The rice are cooked with dried mushrooms and then mixed with nattos. Next to the onigiri are spinach tamagoyaki. First time making tamagoyaki and it wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. Turned out not bad, I think.

For the veggies, I grilled them in the oven with olive oil, salt and pepper except for the stir fried black fungus with carrots, onion and chinese celery.

As usual, the rest of the dishes are simply put into my bento. You can see the failed onigiri that I made. They’re broken. I packed the other two which are looking nicer into hubby’s bento but as hubby ate them, the rice fell apart. Maybe I mixed too much mushrooms and nattos that there were too little rice to hold them together. Shall try again soon.
