Smiley Bento
I had not been blogging about bentos for a week because I travelled to Hong Kong with hubby
Bought many bento tools in Hong Kong
This is a simple bento made with the limited ingredients I have in my fridge after I’m back from Hong Kong. Most of the veggies were spoilt
Although I don’t have much ingredients, I still wanna make a bento because I can’t wait to use the new bento tools.
Hubby has four smiley onigiris today. The smileys were made using the new rice mould and the facial expressions were punched with the new punchers I bought in Hong Kong. I also made him a steamed egg with green peas and artificial crabmeat using the new silicon cup. The silicon cup is a perfect size for me to include steamed egg into his bento. The steamed egg isn’t smooth because I was preparing something else and forgot to watch the gas. Gave him two fish fingers. For meat, he has some pan fried chicken breasts. I dipped the chicken breast pieces with egg and then the seasoned flour that I bought. It almost tasted like KFC’s pop corn chicken
If I deep fry the chicken breasts, I guess they’ll taste better. For veggies, he has stir fried green beans with carrot. I didn’t have enough veggies but luckily I have frozen green peas. I added in some steamed green peas and baby carrots, and two cherry tomatoes to complete today’s bento.

A very happy and yummy bento! I have that same set of smiley face punchers too and I love them!
Thanks
