Rice Cube Bento

Posted in Bento, Cooking on June 25th, 2010 at 11:06 AM

Today’s breakfast was two slices of wholegrain bread with chilli tuna, oranges and a cup of cappucino.

This cappuccino is a souvenir from my cousin. It comes with chocolate powder for you to sprinkle on. I used a teddy bear stencil to make this bear face on hubby’s cappuccino :)

Rice cube bento

I have not made bentos for the past 3 days because there’s been some renovation going on in the kitchen. Hubby said he misses bentos :)

Rice Cube

He has six rice cubes for today’s lunch, sprinkled with some sesame. I also steamed some pumpkins for him.

Top:
Grilled chicken breast cut into thin slices, steamed broccolis, and roast asparagus rolled with roast eggplant

Bottom:
Abalone cut into thin slices and two cherry tomatoes

I prepared a fruit bento for his afternoon tea.

Top:
Cherries, oranges and blueberries

Bottom:
Cincau with honey

I bought those cappuccino too when I was in Melbourne recently and they tasted yum! Love the chocolate shaker… smart idea rite? Wonder why they never sold here.

Great looking and very yummy bento too! You must have spent a lot of time cooking so many items!

Ya, I love the cappuccino although I am one who doesn’t drink much coffee. I have a few sips though and it’s nice =)

It’s quite easy for the cooking cause I use oven to roast and I steam with my steamer for most dishes…I can’t really cook so the oven and steamer help a lot! =P
