Panda, Ramen Bento

Today’s breakfast was two slices of toasted wholemeal breads with veggies, tomato slices, ham and cheese.

Panda ramen bento

I packed ramen for hubby’s lunch today. This is my first time packing ramen. The little panda faces in the bento is why I named this bento Panda Ramen Bento.

I cooked the ramen in the morning. The ramen is separated from the soup. To prevent the ramen from sticking together, I put some olive oil to coat the ramen. The ramen is covered by the veggies so you can’t really see it in the picture. There are holland peas, button mushrooms, corns, abalone and panda fish cake(I think) for him to eat with the ramen.

I bought this packet of thing thinking that it’s packed with only the cute doggie and panda fish cakes inside. However, I only found out they are actually small cup noodles which have some doggie and panda fish cakes inside the little packet of seasonings when I opened it :( Then only I realised that the packet is printed with the ‘CUP NOODLE’ wordings. Haha! I didn’t read!

Ramen soup

I had to pack the soup in a plastic to prevent it from spilling out from the container because the bigger container I used is not for soup so it doesn’t have rubber on the lids to prevent liquid from spilling out. I didn’t use the container that is meant for packing soup because it’s too small for ramen, so I used that smaller container to pack dessert for him today.

During lunch, he just have to put the ramen and veggies in the big container and pour the soup from the plastic over them.

Five little pandas sitting on an abalone ^_^

This is a photo of his ramen lunch he took and emailed to me before he enjoyed his lunch :)

He has dessert today – black sesame glutinous rice ball cooked in sesame soup. The sesame fillings in the rice balls taste very nice.

This is the afternoon bento, packed with fruits, cincau and some banana cakes that he baked yesterday :D

A picture of the cute baran used to separate the banana cakes from the fruits :)

SO cute. I really like your bento! mmm…. I am planning to have my own bento because tomorrow, I need to go to work until 9 in the evening. So I need to have had an idea on how to make a very cute bento. Thank you. =) By the way, have you tried using a stainless steel bento tiffin container? It is same as the one you’re using as a food stacking container but the difference is that it is stainless not plastic. Stainless steel is more durable, reusable, and very safe to use unlike plastic. ;-) Let’s go for it. ;)
