Cream Puff
I came across this cream puff recipe when I was screening on people’s blogs last night. Since I have most of the ingredients needed to make the puff and thought the recipe was easy, I copied down the recipe.
I had nothing to do today so I went out to buy a canned cream sweet corn and began my experiment
I have to say that it’s not a successful project
My Puff
They do look like puff but they’re just a bit too hard
I did not buy custard powder, this explains why the corn filling isn’t thick
I don’t know how to name my puff. Haha!
Not cream puff, not puff with corn custard
Not only does my corn filling not thick enough, it’s watery! Why? Let me share with you although I think it’s shameful. Well, I’ve never cooked before in my entire life until recently so let’s not expect everything to be so well done. Hehe. I’ve started to spend time in the kitchen because I’m trying to be a better wife. LOL
Here is the reason: I have whipped cream in my fridge so I thought why not mix the whipped cream with the corn so I could utilise the leftover whipped cream instead of letting them to continue to sit in the fridge. When I mixed the whipped cream with the corn that I was heating in the pan, the whipped cream turned back into its liquid form (whipping cream). That’s how I got my watery corn filling. How stupid was I to not know that! I was the one who whipped to get the foamy cream and I expected it to stay as whipped cream when heated.
If only I used the whipped cream as the filling, I could call my puff as cream puff

good try anyway.
